Work as a Proctor

A Proctor assists in providing exam related accommodations and ensuring the academic integrity of the exam is maintained. Exams may take place during the day or evening Monday through Friday. Proctor responsibilities include:

  • Pick up exams from and deliver completed exams to various departments across campus.
  • Begin students’ exams ensuring that the professor’s instructions and Disability Resources’ policies are strictly enforced.
  • Stay in the testing room/area with students to make certain that time limits are strictly enforced and the behavior of the student is strictly monitored.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of exams at all times
  • Respect student privacy. Do not share confidential information with anyone.

Eligibility criteria: Be in good academic standing

Work as a Note-taker

A Note-taker records notes for their class(es) and provides those notes to student(s) with documented need. Note-taker responsibilities include:

  • Provide legible, timely, and complete notes for the class(es) in which you serve as a Note-taker.
  • Notes may be typed or handwritten, although typing is preferred.
  • Attend all classes during the semester. If a class is missed, it is the Note-taker’s responsibility to find a suitable replacement.
  • Email notes to the student(s) and the Disability Resource Coordinator after every class. Note-takers should send notes as early as possible prior to quizzes, exams, or other time-sensitive events.
  • Respect student privacy. Do not share confidential information with anyone.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic performance in the class.

Eligibility criteria:  Be in good academic standing and enrolled in a class for which a student with an approved note-taking accommodation needs notes
