Facts about the Summer Intensive Program in Organic Chemistry
Based on the success of the January Intensive Program, Cornerstone: The Center for Advanced Learning, will be offering a Summer Intensive following the same model and focusing on preparing students for Organic Chemistry 261. Students will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Dates: August 16-22 – Early admittance to your dorm room!
Cost: $550 (includes room and board)
Room and Board: Included in fee, students stay in their own dorm room
Courses: Preparation for Organic Chemistry 261
Course description: This is an intensive review and preparation course. While it will not count for credit, there will be daily assessments and final grades and evaluation of student work.
Instructor: Srinivas Achanta
Requirements: Participants must sign a letter of agreement in which they commit to attending all classes, completing all assignments and abiding by the rules of Washington University.
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. Final exam Saturday 9:00 a.m.
Participants: Enrollment is limited and on a first come, first served basis
Study Format: Students will work in classes, small groups, mentoring groups and individually. They will also work with computerized problem sets.
Eligibility: All students entering Organic Chemistry 261

Application must be received at Cornerstone no later than June 26th 2009, and include full payment of $550
