Writing Skills

The following resources are available through Cornerstone

The Writing Help Desk

The writing help desk is available to all undergraduate students, working on any kind of writing, in any stage of their writing process.  It is in Gregg Hall on the first floor, in Cornerstone.  You can swipe in at the south entrance.  Just drop in to get feedback from a trained undergraduate writing mentor on your writing!

Fall 2008: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7-9 PM
in the Cornerstone Reading Room, Gregg Hall

Writing Residential Peer Mentors

Writing Residential Peer Mentors, or WRPMs, are available to help all undergraduates through any stage of the writing process on any kind of writing—from brainstorming to outlining to drafting to revising.  The WRPMs hold office hours in dorm buildings, but are available to work with any undergraduate who lives in other dorms or off campus, as well.  The office hours are drop-in hours, and the WRPMs post flyers in each dorm with their location within the dorm.

The Writing Fellows Program

This program places undergraduate writing fellows with specific classes, and the fellows support students by commenting on student drafts and meeting individually with the students before the final draft of a paper is due.  If your course has a writing fellow, make the most of the opportunity!

The following other writing-related resources are available at the University

The Writing Center – http://artsci.wustl.edu/~writing Located in Eads Hall on the Hilltop campus, the Writing Center works with undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty on any kind of writing, at any step of the writing process. Appointments highly recommended.

The English Language Programhttp://artsci.wustl.edu/~esl/
